Building Code fees are as provided in section 9-1-4, "Fee Schedule", of this Code. (Ord. 2019-02-01, 2-7-2019)
A. Any person convicted of a violation of any section or provision of this Code, where no other penalty is set forth, shall be punished by a fine not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) and not to exceed seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) for any offense; a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
B. In the event a fine or penalty is assessed pursuant to subsection A of this section or any other provision in this Code, a default in the payment of a fine or penalty or any installment of a fine or penalty may be collected by any means authorized for the collection of monetary judgments. The Village Board or its designees may retain private collection agents for the purpose of collecting any default in payment of any fine or penalty or installment of that fine or penalty. Any fees or costs incurred by the Village with respect to the Village Attorney's fees and/or private collection agents retained by the Village Board or its designees or other authorized personnel shall be charged to the offender.
