It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in any business for which a license is by this chapter required without possessing a valid license from the village. (Ord. 90-12-1, 12-13-1990)
Exceptions for certain businesses: "Home occupation", as defined in section 10-1-4 of this code, in which the occupation consists entirely of communication and that involves no deliveries to the property by semitractor/trailer trucks, and where no employees, clients, customers or students come to the premises for goods and services, shall not be required to obtain a business license. Every person who engages in a home occupation not required to obtain a business license may file a statement with the village clerk indicating the nature and scope of the home occupation.
