ADOPTING ORDINANCE

ORDINANCE NO. 95-6-3

ORDINANCE APPROVING CODIFICATION OF THE CODES

AND ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE OF WINFIELD

WHEREAS, the village of Winfield has previously authorized Sterling Codifiers to prepare a codification of the codes and ordinances of the village of Winfield; and

WHEREAS, the president and board of trustees of the village of Winfield have determined that it is advisable and in the best interest of the village and its residents to adopt the aforesaid codification and to supplement said codification with ordinances of the village approved subsequent to its preparation;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF WINFIELD, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1.

The foregoing recitals shall be and are hereby incorporated in this section 1 as if they were fully set forth herein.

Section 2.

The codification of the ordinances of the village of Winfield, prepared by Sterling Codifiers and dated 1994, is hereby adopted and approved.

Section 3.

Any ordinances of the village which have been adopted from and after the submission of ordinances to Sterling Codifiers for codification are hereby ratified and affirmed, and the village clerk is hereby directed to cause all such ordinances, adopted previously or henceforth, to be sent to Sterling Codifiers to be included in the village code, as appropriate.

Section 4.

All policies, resolutions and ordinances of the village which conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed.

Section 5.

This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
