A. It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale at retail, to give away, deliver or to keep with the intention of selling at retail, giving away or delivering tobacco products within the Village without having first obtained a tobacco dealer's license therefor pursuant to this chapter.
B. Such license shall be in addition to any other license required by this chapter. (Ord. 93-1-2, 1-28-1993)
C. It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police and he and his designees are hereby authorized and empowered to conduct random, unannounced inspections and compliance checks of all places wherein such tobacco products are licensed to be sold, for the purpose of ascertaining whether the laws of the State and of the Village in relation to the same, are being complied with at such place.
D. A tobacco license is nontransferable, except a new license will be issued to an existing tobacco dealer who changes location. (Ord. 2007-10-51, 10-4-2007)
