The following acts, among others, are declared to be sounds that must adhere to specified hours, but such enumeration shall not be deemed to be exclusive, namely:
A. The use of heavy equipment or construction equipment for the erection, expansion, renovation, alteration, repair or demolition of any privately owned structure or property shall be limited to the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. Monday through Friday, eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) P.M. on Saturday, and ten o'clock (10:00) A.M. to six o'clock (6:00) P.M. on Sundays and holidays.
B. The outside or open structure use of hand, power and other tools for the erection, expansion, renovation, alteration, repair or demolition of any privately owned structure or property shall be limited to daytime hours. (Ord. 2004-11-49, 11-4-2004)
C. Powered equipment such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, small lawn and garden tools, riding tractors and other landscaping equipment for the maintenance of property, so long as the sound suppression devices are kept in good repair and maintenance, shall be allowed during daytime hours. Use of powered equipment for the maintenance of golf courses shall be allowed between the following additional hours provided electric powered riding greens mowers are used instead of gas powered riding greens mowers: from the hour of five o'clock (5:00) A.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. Monday through Friday and from the hour of five o'clock (5:00) A.M. to eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays from May 15 to September 15; and from five thirty o'clock (5:30) A.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. Monday through Friday and from five thirty o'clock (5:30) A.M. to eight o'clock (8:00) A.M. on Saturday, Sunday and holidays during the remainder of the year during which the golf course is operating. Golf courses shall utilize and maintain accepted practices to minimize noise whenever possible. (Ord. 2010-06-17, 6-3-2010)
D. Temporary sources of sound emission as may be granted a permit in writing for a specific duration by the village manager and/or his duly authorized representative where there is evidence of appropriate justification. Such permit shall not exceed twelve (12) hours in duration and shall be nonrenewable. (Ord. 2004-11-49, 11-4-2004)
