Unless otherwise regulated, no-parking regulations shall not apply where a side street has been recessed by proper authority for the purpose of permitting parking. No vehicle shall be parked at an angle in any recessed portion of a street except in those specified cut back areas where approved and authorized for angle parking by official regulations.

No person shall park or stand a vehicle in the parkway, being that portion of the street between the edge of the roadway and nearest street lot line, unless otherwise provided and authorized by the official regulations, and then parallel parking only will be permitted, except in those specified cut back areas where approved and authorized by the official regulations. Except that parallel parking shall be allowed upon the western side of that portion of Branch Road lying between Carpenter Road and Layton Boulevard.

Police vehicle zones may be established or discontinued by the Traffic Engineer at his discretion. Each zone shall be for one or more official, clearly marked police vehicle:
(a) A clearly marked police vehicle is one which displays the insignia of the police agency upon the body of the car; or
(b) An unmarked vehicle which displays a sign indicating the car’s occupant is on official business. The sign must indicate that it was issued by a Police Department within the State of Michigan.

The driver of a marked police vehicle is permitted to park that vehicle at the curb in a clearly marked parking space established for a police vehicle. No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle, other than a marked police vehicle, in a police vehicle zone. Use of the zone shall not be limited to nonemergency police duties.

The following area is reserved for parking by the City of Flint employees whose vehicles display a proper employee identification sticker authorized by the City Administrator of the City of Flint: A triangular shaped area bounded by Stevens Street on the West, East Fifth Street on the north and the I-475 Freeway on the east and south.
