Any person, firm or corporation maintaining or operating any storage tank for gasoline for the use of the vehicles of the owner, lessee, employees or agents of such person, firm or corporation, shall comply with all of the provisions of this Article, other than the requirements for payment of a fee.
No motor fuels shall be dispensed at any service station except into the fuel tanks of motor vehicles, when such tanks are connected with carburetion systems of such vehicles, provided, however, that individual sales up to five (5) gallons may be made in metal receptacles when painted red and labeled in full conformity with the Illinois Red Can Gasoline Law. Such individual sales shall be limited to five (5) gallons to any one person at any one time.
A. No fuel shall be dispensed into any vehicle until motor and ignition have been shut off.
B. No use of any smoking materials shall be permitted in the immediate vicinity of the fuel pumps; signs stating same must be posted in that area.
C. No open flame shall be permitted except within a stove within the station building.
D. Premises shall be kept clean and neat, free from rubbish or trash.
A. The construction, operation and maintenance of service stations and service station equipment including tanks, and the requirement for safety clearances around same, shall be done in accordance with the provisions of all applicable codes of the Village.
B. Upon demand, an itemized statement of parts and labor used in repairing a motor vehicle and the charges made therefor shall be furnished to the legal or equitable owner of any vehicle repaired on the premises of any service station or under the direction of an owner, manager or agent of said service station.
C. In cases where used or secondhand parts are used in making any repair or alteration, the person having the work done must be informed that the parts used are not new, and such fact must be noted in the record, and upon any bill rendered.
D. No partially dismantled, nonoperable or wrecked motor vehicle shall be stored or dismantled on the service station premises, except as a direct, immediate and necessary incident to its repair.
E. Every service station shall be provided with adequate and conveniently located toilet facilities for its employees and customers, conforming with the ordinances of this Village. Toilet rooms shall be kept in a clean condition, in good repair, and well lighted and ventilated.
