8-33-12: TOUR HOUSE ACCESSIBILITY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES:
   A.   All tour houses shall be physically accessible to persons with disabilities unless the structural changes required for accessibility would threaten or destroy the historic significance of the tour house. In such cases, alterative methods of access will be provided by the owner/operator.
   B.   Except as stated above, the tour house must provide persons with disabilities with access to the main floor of the tour house. If, however, additional floors of the house are open to the public and are not otherwise accessible to persons with disabilities, the owner/operator may comply with the accessibility requirement for these areas by providing person with disabilities with a video taped and/or photographic tour of the inaccessible upper floors of the tour house. The tour house owner/operator shall provide all necessary auxiliary aids and services for persons with disabilities. The tour house owner/operator shall also submit a certificate of compliance with the ADA as a part of the business plan submitted in accordance with subsection 8-33-4E7. (Ord. 1995-0-20, 3-20-95)
8-33-13: TRAINING:
Owners and tour conductors of all tour houses shall attend a training session on overall tourism issued conducted by the Visitors Bureau. (Ord. 1995-0-20, 3-20-95)
8-33-14: INSPECTIONS:
Fire Code and Standard Code inspections shall be conducted by the Fire Department twice annually, with inspections occurring at six (6) month intervals. (Ord. 1995-0-20, 3-20-95)

8-34-1: DEFINITIONS:
For the purposes of this article the following words and/or phrases will have the following meanings. All other words and phrases will have the meaning given them in the general provisions article of this code 1 or, if not defined therein, then the common meaning ordinarily ascribed to them:
TOUR TROLLEY: A motorized bus type vehicle with rubberized tires designed to give the appearance of an old fashioned rail trolley.
TOURIST SEASON: That period of time running from May 15 through September 15 of each year. (Ord. 1995-0-42, 7-5-1995)

8-34-2: LICENSE REQUIRED; LICENSE FEE:
No person shall establish, maintain or operate the business of providing tour trolley rides and tours without first obtaining a license therefor as provided in article 1 of this chapter. The license of each tour trolley shall be displayed at all times. License applicants shall present documentation to the office of the Village Clerk identifying the tour trolleys to be used within the Village and evidencing that the tour trolleys are properly licensed and registered with current emission control and safety stickers in accordance with state and local law. The annual license fee shall be as set forth in section 8-2-1 of this chapter. (Ord. 1995-0-42, 7-5-1995; amd. Ord. 2014-0-52, 8-4-2014)
8-34-3: ROUTES AND STOPS:
The approved trolley route and stops are established on the map designated as exhibit A, and set out at the end of this chapter. The approved tour trolley stops are as set forth on the site designation plans designated as exhibit B, and set out at the end of this chapter. Proposed changes in routes and/or stops must be by ordinance amendment. No regular carriage route may be established to include the three hundred (300) and four hundred (400) blocks of North Kenilworth and Forest Avenues. Permission may be granted by the Chief of Police to use an unapproved route for a specific purpose on a onetime basis. Permission shall be requested in writing sufficiently in advance to allow time for a reasonable review of the request. The operator shall provide the Chief with any information requested by the Chief in relation to the proposed onetime use. The Chief shall respond to the operator's request within five (5) working days of receiving all requested information, except under extenuating circumstances identified by the Chief in writing to the operator. The Chief shall indicate to the operator the amount of additional time which will be necessary to review the request due to the extenuating circumstances. (Ord. 1995-0-42, 7-5-1995)
