A. Pursuant to the authority of section 5/1-2.1-1 et seq., of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-2.1-1, which authorizes a municipality to implement a system of administrative adjudication for code violations, and pursuant to section 11-208.3 of the Illinois Vehicle Code, 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-208.3 et seq., which authorizes a municipality to provide a system of administrative adjudication for vehicular standing, parking and compliance violations, there is hereby created a system of administrative adjudication of charges of code violations, including vehicular standing, parking and compliance violations for the Village of Oak Park.
B. The Village adopts 65 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/1-2.1-1 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time, and 625 Illinois Compiled Statutes 5/11-208.3, as it may be amended from time to time. In the event of a conflict between either of those statutes and this chapter, this chapter shall prevail.
C. The adoption of this chapter does not preclude the Village from using other lawful methods to enforce the provisions of this code. (Ord. 2003-0-42, 10-7-03)
