13-1-2: Definitions
13-1-1: POLICY:
It is hereby declared to be the policy of the Village and the purpose of this chapter, in the exercise by the Village of its police and regulatory powers for the protection of the public health, safety and welfare and for the maintenance and promotion of commerce, industry and good government in the Village, to secure to all persons living or desiring to live in the Village, a fair opportunity to purchase, lease, rent or occupy housing or other real estate, to provide all persons desiring employment in the Village fair and equal employment opportunities, and to provide all persons full and equal access to all public places of accommodation, regardless of race, sex, gender identity, gender expression, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, age, marital status, familial status, source of income, disability, housing status, military discharge status, or order of protection status.
