A. Authority: The mayor is authorized to place and maintain such additional appropriate signs or traffic markings to indicate standing or parking regulations and may designate and identify such other no parking or controlled parking locations as the public safety demands.
B. Signs, Markings: The mayor shall require persons, organizations, corporations and business entities, designated by the Building Code, the Fire Code, or other regulatory or Public Safety Ordinances, to install and maintain, at the expense of the person or business, such regulatory parking signs or markings as are required by such codes. It is unlawful for any person to fail to comply with the directives of the mayor to install or maintain such parking regulations or markings. When so installed, such signs and markings shall be official signs and markings, the violation of the terms of which shall be prosecuted in accordance with this chapter. (2001 Code § 86-3-105; amd.
