Employees Generally

An Employee Handbook and Personnel Policies Manual was adopted by Ordinance 1352, passed December 22, 1997and amended by: Ordinance 1443, passed May 29, 2001; Ordinance 1483, passed May 12, 2003; and Ordinance 1541, passed December 28, 2006. Copies of the Employee Handbook and Personnel Policies Manual, as amended from time to time by Council, may be obtained, at cost, from the Clerk of Council. The provisions of the chapter, therefore, apply only to those persons and those subjects not otherwise provided for in such Employee Handbook and Personnel Policies Manual. However, Ordinance 1352, as amended by Ordinance 1443 provides that in the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of such document and a provision of State law, the provision of State law controls.
