Coldwater's water plant requires staff with a Class I Water Operator's License. The wastewater plant requires staff with a Class II Wastewater Operator's License. Employees in these departments, other than the Superintendent for each department shall not be compensated for licenses earned which exceed that which is required for plant operation. Superintendents shall be compensated for each license earned up to and including a Class III Operator's License in the department supervised. If, at any time, one person supervises both of these departments, then that individual shall be paid a salary to be determined, independent of the hourly rates established for licensed operators.
