Meeting Called to Order by Mayor Judy Maloney

Pledge of Allegiance

Opening Prayer: Mark Baker, First Baptist Church

Judge Robert Wynn was introduced and conducted the swearing in ceremony for the newly elected and appointed Council Members and Mayor:

·   Kay Ann Brabender

·   Judy Maloney

Roll Call of Council: Brabender, Damon, Fertig, Hoyson, Thompson, Ward

Also present: Pat Bradek, R.A. Hummel, Beverly Park, Sally Barger, Patty Hoyson, E. Pengel, M. Newhart, Charlene Kusar

Motion by Councilman Thompson to appoint Councilman Ward as President Pro-Temp for the calendar year 2008.

Motion by Councilman Fertig to appoint Councilman Thompson as President Pro-Tem for calendar year 2008

2nd

Councilman Thompson asked that his name be withdrawn from the appointment to President Pro-Tem

Motion by Councilman Hoyson to close the nominations for President Pro-Tem

Roll: All yea, motion carried.

Roll for the motion to appoint Councilman Ward as President Pro Tem: All yea, motion carried.

Motion by Councilman Thompson to accept the Rules of Council Amended Ordinance 03-O-2468 for the year 2008

Motion by Councilman Ward to accept Mayor Maloney’s appointment for the 2008 Village of Jefferson Committees.

Motion by Councilman Fertig to accept the Mayor Maloney’s recommendation to appoint Mayor Maloney to the Ambulance Board; term until 12/31/08

Motion by Councilman Damon to accept Mayor Maloney’s recommendation to appoint Rick Hoyson to fill the unexpired term of Jon Brabender for the Fireman’s Dependency Board through 12/31/2009.

Motion by Councilman Hoyson to accept the Mayor’s recommendation to appoint Richard Hummel and Phil Pawlowski to the Board of Tax Review through 2010

Motion by Councilman Damon to accept Mayor Maloney’s recommendation to appoint Jerry March and Brad Childs to the Board of Zoning Appeal through 2012.

Motion by Councilman Thompson to appoint Councilman Fertig as Council’s representative to the ’’’’Oakdale’ ’’Cemetery’’ Board of Trustees – term ending 2010
