Roll: Baxley, Fertig, Herndon, Maloney, Stasny, Thompson

Also present: Pam Gran; Martha Demshar; E. Pengel; News Herald; Charlene Kusar; Ed Ward

Motion by Herndon to appoint Councilperson Baxley as President Pro-Tem for the year 2005

Mayor Bragga asked if there were any nominations from the floor

Motion by Maloney to appoint Councilperson Herndon as President Pro-Tem for the year 2005.

No second

Mayor Bragga asked for Roll Call to appoint Councilperson Baxley as President Pro-Tem for the year 2005.

Roll: All yea, motion carried.

Motion by Baxley to accept the Rules of Council Amended Ordinance 03-O-2468 for the year 2005

Roll: All yea, motion carried.

Motion by Maloney to approve the Mayor’s appoint for the 2005 Village of Jefferson Committees:

·   Forestry: Chair – Stasny Member - Thompson

·   Utilities/Wastewater/Service: Chair – Baxley Member – Maloney

·   Building and Lands: Chair – Fertig Member – Baxley

·   Finance: Chair – Thompson Member – Stasny

·   Safety: Chair – Maloney Member – Herndon

·   Recreation: Chair – Herndon Member – Fertig

Roll: All yea, motion carried.

Motion by Baxley to approve Judy Maloney’s appointment to a one-year term for the Ambulance Board through 12-31-2005

Councilperson Maloney chose to abstain, because of the ethics law and the fact that a modest compensation is paid for being on the Ambulance Board

Roll: Baxley, yea; Fertig, yea; Herndon, yea; Maloney, abstained; Stasny, yea; Thompson, yea.

Roll: 5-yea; 1-abstained, motion carried.

Motion by Baxley to accept the Mayor’s recommendation to appoint Wilma Herndon and Judy Maloney to one-year terms for the Fireman’s Dependency Board through 12/31/05
