No person shall make connections from any energy, fuel, power supply or water distribution system or supply energy, fuel or water to any equipment regulated by this code that has been disconnected or ordered to be disconnected by the building official or the use of which has been ordered to be discontinued by the building official until the building official authorizes the reconnection and use of such equipment.
*Chapter B is hereby deleted and replaced with the following:
(a) Except as provided for in § C01.2, no sign shall hereafter be constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, moved, removed or demolished, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit for the work.
(b) A separate permit shall be obtained for each sign or group of signs on any single supporting structure. No permit shall be issued except to a duly licensed and registered sign erector as provided in Chapter D of this code.
(d) No permit shall be issued for the erection of new off-premises signs in the extraterritorial jurisdiction, which is prohibited under § 5.02.2; provided, however, subdivision directional signs, homebuilder signs and temporary public interest signs may be erected without a permit, in accordance with § 5.02.2.
