§ 13-4 COMPLIANCE WITH CHAPTER REQUIRED; PENALTY.
   It shall be unlawful for any person to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, convert, demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure in the city or cause the same to be done contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this code. Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this code with respect to life safety, shall be fined not more than $2,000 for each offense in accordance with § 1-6(c), and with respect to all other provisions of this code shall be fined not more than $500 for each offense. Each day that a violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
