CHAPTER 165
Employees Generally

   The City enters into Agreements with Local 277, District Council 8, of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO, which Agreements provide for benefits and other incidents of employment for those employees of the City who are members of that union. Benefits and other incidents of employment for non- union employees and officers of the City are provided in this chapter.
   This chapter, previously a codification of Ordinance 69-132, passed October 6, 1969, and Ordinance 79-108, passed April 23, 1979, as amended, was re-enacted in its entirety by Ordinance 82-36, passed February 15, 1982, as amended. Ordinance 82-36, as amended, was repealed and this chapter was re-enacted in its entirety by Ordinance 83-230, passed November 7, 1983, as amended. Ordinance 83-230, as amended, was repealed and this chapter was re-enacted in its entirety by Ordinance 89-6, passed January 3, 1989. 
   All references to "City Solicitor" in this chapter have been changed to "City Law Director"; all references to "Law Director" in this chapter have been changed to "Administrative Legal Counsel"; and all references to "Assistant City Solicitor" in this chapter have been changed to "Assistant Law Director" to reflect the Charter Amendments passed by the electors on May 8, 2001, and upon the adoption of Ordinance 2001-96, passed June 4, 2001, Ordinance 2001-97, passed June 4, 2001, and Ordinance 2001-98, passed June 4, 2001.
