(a) The normal work week for full-time EXEMPT and NON-EXEMPT employees will be forty hours of work in a consecutive seven-day period commencing at 12:00 a.m. Sunday and concluding at 11:59:59 p.m. on the following Saturday. The pay period shall consist of two consecutive work weeks as described herein. The work week and pay period shall be set by the Finance/Payroll Department.
(b) The regular scheduled hours are from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., other than those departments which are on a continuous operation schedule, or departments where the appointing authority has opted to establish other hours for some or all employees of the department to insure or increase the efficient operation of the department.
(c) Each employee shall have at lease one-half hour for lunch at midday, other than those employees whose departments are on a continuous operation schedule.
(d) Any employee clocking in late shall be docked wages to the nearest tenth of an hour.
(e) Elected officials and exempt from this practice under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
