165.22  OATHS OF OFFICE.
   Each elected official of the City, namely the Mayor, the City Auditor, the City Law Director, Member of Council and the Clerk of Courts, before entering upon the duties of his or her office, shall take an oath of office to support the Constitution of the United States and State of Ohio, the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Elyria, Ohio, and faithfully, honestly and impartially discharge the duties of his or her office. Such oath shall be reduced to writing and signed by such elected official and the person who administered the oath.  Said written oath shall thereafter be filed by the elected official with the Clerk of Council, who shall keep such written oath on file in the office of the Clerk of Council.
