(a) All full-time NON-EXEMPT City employees shall be compensated at the rate of one and one-half time their hourly rate for all hours working in excess of forty in a work week. The minimum overtime rate and the definition of hours worked shall be determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division as defined in The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
(1) Compensation in the form of wages for full-time EXEMPT City employees shall be limited to forty hours in a work week. Please see Section 165.25 Compensatory Time for rules regarding compensatory time for full-time EXEMPT and NON-EXEMPT employees.
(b) A full-time NON-EXEMPT City employee shall be compensated at the rate of twice their hourly rate, or double time for actual time worked on Sundays or holidays (as outlined in the chapter).
