§ 15-226 EXTENSION OF SYSTEM.
The city may extend its electric system within or without the city limits by construction or purchase, when application for service has been made and agreements entered into by persons along the proposed extension and when such services will produce a revenue which in the judgment of the governing body will be sufficient to pay interest on the cost of the extension, and for the operating costs of the service. The governing body may, at their option, require any proposed customer situated within or without the city limits to whom it may decide to sell electricity to construct his or her own connection to the electric system within the city limits at his or her own expense. The construction and maintenance is to be subject to the supervision and approval of the Superintendent of Distribution.
