(a) On the first Monday of the month during the months of April, May, June, July, August, and September, the village will provide brush chipping services for the residents of the village. If any Monday is an observed holiday, the brush chipping service will be performed on the following Tuesday. If the service is suspended due to inclement weather conditions, it will be rescheduled for the next working day, weather permitting.
(b) Brush chipping services will be provided for brush and branches less than six inches in diameter which are placed at the resident's curb no sooner than seven days prior to the scheduled service day. No brush will be chipped if any string, wire, rope or metal material is among the brush set out for chipping. Branches must be placed at the curb with the butt end toward the street (perpendicular to the curb). The height of piles should be no higher than four feet.
(c) Total brush chipping service time spent by the village at any residence shall be limited to a maximum of 15 minutes. Any materials remaining after utilizing said maximum allowable time, or materials not meeting the above set forth chipping requirements, must be removed from tree lawn by resident of the property which abuts the tree lawn within 48 hours after the chipping service date.
(d) Shrubs and roots free of dirt must be placed in a separate pile for a separate collection which will be scheduled for the same day. No stumps will be accepted. Residents who have materials in quantities in excess of the amounts described above, may contact the Village Administrator for disposal guidance. The village will attempt to provide such residence with a disposal site for such material. It will be the resident's obligation to transport such yard waste to the disposal sits provided.
(e) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be provided in § 698.02.
