(a) Right turns on red traffic signals are not permitted at the intersection of Market and East Jefferson Streets on School days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Right turns on red traffic signals are not permitted at the intersection of West Jefferson and Poplar Streets on school days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
(b) Right turns on red traffic signals are permitted at the intersections of North Chestnut and Walnut Streets, Chestnut and Jefferson Streets, and South Chestnut and Satin Streets, only after the operator of the turning vehicle has brought his or her vehicle to a complete stop and determined that such right turn can be made without danger to pedestrians, bicyclists or other vehicles or their occupants. In the case of the Chestnut Street-Jefferson Street intersection, no right turn on red will be permitted under any circumstances from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
