BOARD OF APPEALS
108.1 General. Appeals of orders, decisions, or determinations, made by the code official relative to the application and interpretation of this code shall be made to the Board of Appeals created under International Building Code amendments in the Building Code and International Residential Code amendments in the One-and-Two-Family Dwelling Building Code of Boise City Code.

VIOLATIONS
110.1 General. Violations of any provision of the Green Construction Code identified by the code official shall be subject to penalties outlined in the Building Code and One-and-Two-Family Dwelling Building Code of Boise City Code.

SECTION 111
INCENTIVES
INCENTIVES
111.1 General. Projects voluntarily complying with the provisions of the Green Construction Code may apply for the following incentives when available:
1. Acceptance of project into the Planning & Development Services Project Management Program.
2. Expedited building permit application review.
3. Recognition and marketing assistance (such as awards, building plaque, jobsite displays/signage, press releases, recognition on City internet site, recognition in quarterly newsletter, and other means).
4. Any other incentive programs created and approved by City Council directed at green construction.

CITY BUILDINGS
CITY BUILDINGS
112.1 General. Construction of new City of Boise owned buildings shall comply with the provisions of the Green Construction Code or other approved programs as outlined in section 105.6 of this code.
Exception: Unconditioned buildings, buildings not typically occupied, buildings with specialized industrial or mechanical equipment, or similar, may be exempt from this code, where deemed acceptable by the code official.

301.1 (3.1) Definitions, abbreviations, and acronyms, general. Certain terms, abbreviations, and acronyms are defined in the Chapter for the purposes of this code. These definitions are applicable to all sections and chapters of this code.
Terms that are not defined herein, but that are defined in standards that are referenced herein (Informative Note: e.g., ANSI/ASHRAE/IES Standard 90.1), shall have the meanings as defined in those standards.
Where terms are not defined in this code and are defined in the currently adopted editions of the International Building Code, International Energy Conservation Code, International Fire Code, International Fuel Gas Code, International Mechanical Code, International Residential Code, National Electrical Code, or the Uniform Plumbing Code, such terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them as in those codes.
Other terms that are not defined shall have their ordinarily accepted meanings within the context in which they are used. Ordinarily accepted meanings shall be based on American standard English language usage, as documented in an approved unabridged dictionary.
