9-13-42: IGCC GREEN CONSTRUCTION CODE AMENDMENT, SECTION 601.3.6 (6.3.6), REVERSE OSMOSIS WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS:

   601.3.6 (6.3.6) Reverse osmosis water treatment systems. Reverse osmosis systems shall be equipped with an automatic shutoff valve that prevents the production of reject water when there is no demand for treated water. Point-of-use reverse osmosis treatment systems for drinking water shall be listed and labeled in accordance with NSF 58. The discharge pipe from a reverse osmosis drinking water treatment unit shall connect to the building drainage system in accordance with section 611.2 of the Idaho State Plumbing Code.

9-13-43: IGCC GREEN CONSTRUCTION CODE AMENDMENT, SECTION 601.3.7 (6.3.7), ON-SITE RECLAIMED WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS:

   601.3.7 (6.3.7) Onsite reclaimed water treatment systems. On site reclaimed water treatment systems, including grey water reuse treatment systems and wastewater treatment systems, used to produce non-potable water for use in water closet and urinal flushing, surface irrigation and similar applications shall be listed and labeled in accordance with NSF 350 and must be permitted and approved by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ) in accordance with IDAPA 58.01.17, as referenced in sections 601.1.1 and 601.1.2 of this code.

9-13-44: IGCC GREEN CONSTRUCTION CODE AMENDMENT, SECTION 701.3.4 (7.3.4), AUTOMATED DEMAND RESPONSE (OPTIONAL):

   701.3.4 (7.3.4) Automated Demand Response (Optional). When chosen to be complied with, building projects may contain automatic control systems that have the capability to reduce building equipment loads to lower electric peak demand of the building.

   The building controls may be designed with automated demand-response (DR) infrastructure capable of receiving DR requests from the utility, electrical system operator, or third-party DR program provider and automatically implementing load adjustments to the HVAC and lighting systems. Consult with local utility company for any possible eligibility requirements.

When chosen to be complied with, building projects shall comply with either the Standard Renewables Approach in Section 701.4.1.1.1 (7.4.1.1.1) or the Alternate Renewables Approach in Section 701.4.1.1.2 (7.4.1.1.2). When complied with, this can be considered as equivalency to a Renewable Energy EA Credit in Normative Appendix E, Table E101.1.
