Sec. 11A-1. General services department established.
There is established a general services department, whose head shall be the director of general services. The director's appointment and removal shall be in accordance with sections 2, 6, and 11 of chapter V of the Charter.

Sec. 11A-2. Powers and duties of the general services department.
The general services department shall perform those duties designated by the city manager, and the director of general services shall carry out those assigned duties and functions, including the supervision of divisions established within the general services department, deemed advisable.
The general services department shall provide those architectural, engineering, communications, facilities management, fleet maintenance, and other technical, support, and administrative services that the city manager assigns to it.

Sec. 11A-3. Divisions within general services department.
The general services department's divisions shall have the functions and duties assigned by the director of general services, and those additional functions, powers, and duties designated by the city manager.
