Sec. 54-34. Lighting.

   All rooms in hotels must be adequately lighted including light for reading. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-33; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-35. Basement rooms.

   Only when basement floors and walls are constructed of material impervious to water, may a habitable room be located in a basement. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-34; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-36. Cellar rooms.

   A room in a cellar is not a habitable room. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-35; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-37. Bedding and linen.

   (a)    All mattresses, blankets and other bedding used at hotels must be kept clean and free of bedbugs.

   (b)    Clean sheets and pillow slips must be provided in hotels at least once each week and after each succeeding guest. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-36; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-38. Reserved.

   Editor’s note—Former Section 54-38, Drinking glasses, derived from Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-37, was repealed by 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.

Sec. 54-39. Food, dining rooms and kitchens.

   Food, public dining rooms and kitchens in each hotel must satisfy Chapter 15 of this Code as amended. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-38; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1; 2019 L.M.C., ch. 23, §1.)

Sec. 54-40. Maintenance of premises.

   Every owner or operator of a hotel is responsible for maintaining all parts of the hotel, in a clean and sanitary condition, including the land on which the hotel is located. Every owner or operator is responsible for maintaining the hotel in good repair. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-39; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)
