COMCOR NUMBERING SYSTEM
COMCOR is organized by Chapter of the Montgomery County Code. The regulations are organized by the Chapter/Section they implement. The COMCOR numbering system is comprised of the Montgomery County Code Chapter, followed by the appropriate Section of the Code, followed by a number representing whether it is the first, second, etc. regulation implementing that Chapter/Section. For example, “ COMCOR 30.11.01” is the first regulation listed implementing Chapter 30, Section 30-11 of the County Code. If a regulation is implementing an entire Chapter, as opposed to one or more specific sections of the Chapter, the second number will be “00” (“COMCOR 30.00.01”) and the regulation will appear before those regulations implementing a specific Section. Regulations not related to a Chapter of the Montgomery County Code are designated “Miscellaneous” and are listed at the end of COMCOR.
ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY
The regulation number, the regulation superseded, if any, and other relevant information appear in the Administrative History at the end of the regulation.
SECTION NUMBERING
Section numbering has been altered. The Section number will include the COMCOR number followed by the section number. In the example above, the first section of the regulation will be numbered “30.11.01.01” (the COMCOR number followed by the section number). Section numbers may have been changed from the section numbers used in the official copy of the regulation to achieve consistency. Cross-references in the text of the regulation have not been altered, but an editor’s note may be added to identify the new reference number described above.
PAGE NUMBERING
Page numbering is now consistent with the remainder of the Montgomery County Code. The pages are numbered using the COMCOR Chapter followed by the page number.
CHARTS
Charts listing previous and current COMCOR numbers, Regulation numbers, and Regulation Titles can be found in Volume 2, immediately before the Agency and Subject Indexes.
WARNING
Please note that while we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of this text, errors may occur in the process of printing and publication. Under Section 1-103 of the Code, the official copies of the enrolled bills enacted by the County Council, ordinances adopted by the District Council and the official copies of the regulations promulgated by the County Executive are the official laws and regulations of the County. The published code is evidence of these laws and regulations. If there is a conflict between the published Code and a law, ordinance, or regulation, the law, ordinance, or regulation prevails. Copies of the Regulations may be obtained by contacting either the department, office, or commission that administers the Regulation or the Office of the County Executive.
