Sec. 54-5. Numbering of rooms.

   Every hotel must have a unique number on the corridor side of the door to each guest room. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-2; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-6. Limitation on admission of visitors.

   A hotel must not admit more visitors than the number for which it is licensed. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-3; 1982 L.M.C., ch. 49, §4; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-7. Inspection of register by county officials.

   Registers kept under Section 54-3 must always be available at the hotel for inspection by the Director, the fire marshal, the police chief and their designees. The licensee may request the official to present proper credentials or proof of identity. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-6; 1972 L.M.C., ch. 16, §13; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1; 2019 L.M.C., ch. 23, §1.)

Sec. 54-8. Owner, operator or manager to reside on premises.

   The owner, operator, or a responsible manager appointed by the owner or operator must be on-site at all times at each hotel. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-7; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1; 2019 L.M.C., ch. 23, §1.)

Sec. 54-9. Parking facilities.

   Every hotel must provide off-street automobile parking for visitors as required by Chapter 59 of this Code, as amended. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-8; 1982 L.M.C., ch. 49, §5; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1; 2019 L.M.C., ch. 23, §1.)

Sec. 54-10. Administration and enforcement of article generally.

   The Director must administer and enforce this chapter with the assistance of other County departments, as necessary. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-9; 1972 L.M.C., ch. 16, §5; 1980 L.M.C., ch. 41, §1; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-11. Right of entry of County officials.

   The Director, the fire marshal, the police chief and their designee, upon exhibiting the proper credentials or proof of identity, may enter any hotel to make any necessary inspection during business or operating hours. Inspections may also occur at other times if the county officials find it necessary to protect the health and safety of any person. (Mont. Co. Sec. 54-12. Responsibility for compliance with article.

   The owner or operator of a hotel, and the hotel’s agent or manager, are responsible for complying with this article. (Mont. Co. Code 1965, §90-11; 2017 L.M.C., ch. 27, §1.)

Sec. 54-13. Violation of article; penalties.
