No person, except a public officer in the performance of his or her duties, shall operate or cause to be operated, a motorized vessel on any of the waterways comprising the Venice Canals, including Grand Canal, and Eastern Canal. “Motorized vessel” shall mean every description of watercraft used on capable of being used as a means of transportation on the water, and which is powered by a gasoline engine or electric motor.
