25.01 ESTABLISHED; PURPOSE.
There is established an Ankeny Cultural Arts Board to oversee policy implementation and review, to outline roles and responsibilities of the City of Ankeny and partners in arts development and to make recommendation in the areas of planning and fund allocation.
25.02 COMPOSITION; TERMS OF OFFICE.
The Cultural Arts Board shall consist of nine members whose term of office is four years on a staggered basis and who are appointed by the Mayor subject to the approval of the Council. The Mayor shall appoint said members who are recognized for their interest and experience in connection with the performing and fine arts, which a majority of the members shall be residents of Ankeny. In making appointments, due consideration shall be given to the recommendations made by representatives of civic, educational and professional associations and groups concerned or engaged in the production or presentation of the performing and fine arts.
