The purpose of this Zone is to provide locations where limited service facilities and goods normally required by the public in the pursuit of general recreation activities can be obtained in mountain areas, at major canyon highway intersections, and at major recreation resort areas. Even though the Zone is commercial in concept, it is distinctly limited commercial and shall be compatible with the general surrounding natural environment. To achieve this objective, the general siting and architectural design of buildings and structures, the layout of parking areas and landscaping will be carefully reviewed to ensure the preservation to the greatest possible extent of the natural amenities and environment.
