7-1-1: WATER COMMISSION:
   A.   Established: The members of the village board of trustees shall, together with the village president, constitute the water commission.
   B.   Powers And Duties: The water commission shall have full power, supervision and control of the operation and government of the water system of the village. The water commission may hire such help as may from time to time be necessary for the proper and efficient operation of said water system, the keeping of the records and accounts, and shall fix the term of employment and salaries of the employees thereof and shall also furnish the stationery and supplies necessary to a proper and businesslike conduct of said water system. 7-1-2: WATER SUPERINTENDENT; CERTIFIED WATER OPERATOR:
The water commission shall appoint a superintendent and a certified water operator who shall perform such duties as said commission may prescribe. (Ord., 9-10-1956; amd. 1989 Code)
7-1-3: RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Permission and authority is hereby vested in the water superintendent to make and enforce all needed rules and regulations for the operation and government of said water system and its appurtenances, its employees, their salaries, terms of employment, hours of service and duties, but no rules or regulations shall be promulgated by the superintendent which shall in any way contravene, alter or modify any ordinance or ordinances passed by the village president and village board of trustees having reference to the water system or any matter or thing connected therewith.
