A. Maintenance: Every person supplied with water from the water system shall keep his own service pipe and any and all stopcocks and all appurtenances to his service pipe in good repair and protected from frost at his own expense, and shall also prevent the waste of water through hydrant or by reason of defective pipe or cocks; and in case any portion of the same shall be in a leaky or defective condition, such person shall be notified by the water superintendent, either in person or by writing, of such leaky or defective condition, and in case the same is not repaired within five (5) days after such notice, the water supply shall be shut off and shall not be again turned on until such person has complied with all the conditions of this chapter applicable thereto. B. Testing: Every person supplied with water from the water system shall allow the water superintendent to draw samples as necessary to comply with state and federal laws. (1989 Code)
