No water shall be supplied to any building, structure or premises in the village from said water system, nor shall any person be permitted to tap any water main or make any connection with any supply pipe or service pipe for the purpose of furnishing water to any building, structure or premises or for any other purpose without first having paid the water connection fee of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) to the water superintendent or his representative. At the time this connection fee is paid, application must be made in writing to the water superintendent by the person desiring such a building, structure or premises to be supplied with water, or desiring to tap any main, or to make any connection with such service pipe or supply pipe. Such application shall state fully all purposes for which the water supply is desired and where it is desired to tap such water main or to make connection with such service pipe or supply pipe. The Village, at its expense, shall contract to make such tap and connection from the water main to the owner's shutoff valve. (Ord. 12-18-1961; amd. 2003 Code)
