§ 1250.10 PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENTS.
If a subdivider elects to construct streets totally of portland cement concrete or if such a pavement is required by the Municipal Engineer, a thickness of six inches for local and collector streets and seven inches for arterial, commercial and industrial streets is required. The Planning Commission may require pavement of greater thickness, upon the recommendation of the Municipal Engineer, based upon his or her evaluation of the subgrade, traffic and wheel load conditions.
(Ord. 74-O-129, passed 10-17-1974)
§ 1250.11 FULL-DEPTH ASPHALT PAVEMENTS.
If streets are to be constructed out of full-depth asphalt, an asphalt pavement in which asphalt-aggregate mixtures are used for all courses above the subgrade, a careful inspection of the subgrade may be necessary to determine pavement thicknesses. For local streets, pavements may vary from four to six inches depending upon subgrade conditions. For collector streets, pavements may vary from five to nine inches, and for arterial and industrial streets, from six to 11 inches.
(Ord. 74-O-129, passed 10-17-1974)

In areas of notable flash flooding or heavy rain run-off, curbs shall be required to channel the flow of water. Curbs shall be required on all streets designed for areas where the existing or anticipated residential density of the area surrounding the proposed subdivision equals or exceeds three dwelling units per acre. In commercial developments, or where other similar intensive urban uses exist or are anticipated, curbs shall be required. Where curbs exist on abutting properties, their extension shall be required throughout the proposed subdivision. Curbs, combined curbs and gutters shall be constructed in conformity with the current edition of Construction and Material Specifications of the State of Ohio Department of Transportation.
(Ord. 74-O-129, passed 10-17-1974)

§ 1250.14 DRIVEWAYS.
Driveways shall have a maximum grade of 10%. Driveways and curb cuts shall be located not less than three feet from a side lot line. Curb cuts for straight curbs and the flair for rolled curbs shall be three feet wider than the driveway paving on each side. All driveways constructed after June 15, 1993, in conjunction with new home construction shall be constructed of blacktop, concrete, brick or other similar material over a properly constructed driveway base, which shall be approved as to composition and thickness by the Municipal Engineer.
