§ 1250.17  STREET TREES.
   Trees should be provided by the subdivider in all subdivisions where curbs, gutters and sidewalks are required, in accordance with the following standards.
   (a)   No tree shall be planted or replaced in tree lawns or curb strips less than three feet wide, and only those trees named in the list approved by the Planning Commission may be planted in the tree lawn. (See Figure 21 immediately following these subdivision regulations.)
   (b)   Trees appearing on the approved list, but requiring a wider tree lawn than three feet, may be planted only in tree lawns having a sufficient width to meet the minimum width specified for any certain species.
   (c)   No tree shall be planted closer than 30 feet apart within the tree lawn. Those varieties indicated in the approved list as having a wider spread than 30 feet shall be planted at least as far apart as the distance of spread.
   (d)   No tree shall be planted nearer than ten feet from any utility pole, fire hydrant or driveway.
   (e)   No tree shall be planted nearer than 20 feet from the intersection of two streets.
   (f)   Existing trees should be retained in new subdivisions whenever possible.
