§ 1250.15 STREET NAME SIGNS; NAMING OF STREETS.
   (a)   Street name signs, of a type in use throughout the municipality, shall be erected by the subdivider at all intersections.
   (b)   For purposes of street naming, the following system shall be used:
 
General Direction
Long Continuous
Short Disconnected
North-south
Streets
Courts
East-west
Avenues
Places
Diagonal
Roads
Ways
Curving
Drives
Lanes or Circles
 
   (c)   Whenever a new street is constructed along the approximate alignment or extension of an existing street, its name shall be the same as that of the existing one.
   (d)   Whenever a street alignment changes direction more than 75 degrees without a return to the original alignment within a distance of 500 feet, the name of the street shall be changed at the point of curvature.
   (e)   Whenever a cul-de-sac street serves not more than three lots, the name of the intersecting street shall apply to the cul-de-sac.
   (f)   To avoid duplication and confusion, the proposed names of all streets shall be approved by the municipality or County Engineer, whoever or whichever has jurisdiction, prior to such names being assigned or used. Street names shall not duplicate or be confused with names of existing streets in northern Columbiana or southern Mahoning Counties.
