1-11-16: POSTEMPLOYMENT RESTRICTIONS:
   A.   No former public official or public employee shall assist or represent any person other than himself or any family member in any judicial or administrative proceeding against the interests of the village or any of its agencies for a period of one year after the termination of the public official's or public employee's term of office or employment, if the public official or public employee was counsel of record or participated personally in the proceeding during his term of office or employment.
   B.   No former public official or public employee, or paid consultant of the village shall, for a period of one year after the termination of the public official's term of office, or of the employee's employment, or of the consultant's services, assist or represent any person, other than himself or any family member, in appearing before any board or commission of the village, or doing business with the village or any of its departments, if the official, employee or consultant participated personally in the subject matter of the transaction during his term of office or employment. Such public official, employee or consultant may be released from the terms of this subsection after review of the relevant facts of his case by the village administrator on the application of such former public official, former employee or consultant. The village administrator shall make a recommendation to the village board as to whether or not the former public official, former employee or consultant shall be released from the terms of this subsection, and thereafter, the village board shall render its decision, taking into consideration the recommendation of the village administrator. The decision of the village board shall be final.
   C.   No former elected public official of the village shall, for a period of two (2) years after the termination of the public official's term of office be eligible for employment by the village of Antioch in any capacity except as a volunteer or paid on call firefighter. Such public official may be released from the terms of this subsection after review of the relevant facts of his case by the village administrator on the application of such former public official. The village administrator shall make a recommendation to the village board as to whether or not the former public official shall be released from the terms of this subsection, and thereafter, the village board shall render its decision, taking into consideration the recommendation of the village administrator.
