1-1-1: TITLE:

This code shall be known and may be designated and cited as the ANTIOCH VILLAGE CODE. Unless otherwise provided herein, or by law or implication required, the same rules of construction, definition and application shall govern the interpretation of this code as those governing the interpretation of the Illinois Compiled Statutes.

1-1-2: INTENT:

Except when specifically provided, all general provisions, terms, phrases and expressions contained in this code shall be literally construed in order that the intent of the legislative body may be fully carried out. (1976 Code § 10.002)
