TRI COUNTY OFFICE ON THE AGING - Donna Hobart, representing the Tri County Office on the Aging made a presentation to the Board requesting a $3,000.00 donation from Williamstown Township toward the construction of a new kitchen for the Meals on Wheels program. Similar requests are being made of all area townships and cities serviced by the organization. The organization needs to reach their goal of $1.5 million by December 31, 1996 in order to qualify for a challenge grant from the Kresge Foundation. Ten people were serviced by Meals on Wheels in Williamstown Township in 1995, with many others taking advantage of the community dining hall meals in Williamston. Treasurer Nilsson moved that the Township donate the requested $3,000.00 to the Tri County Office on the Aging towards construction of a new kitchen. Supported by Clerk Graham. Motion passed unanimously.
