165.01 ESTABLISHED; COMPOSITION.

   There is hereby established in the Department of Public Service of the City, the Division of Recreation, consisting of such officers and employees as may from time to time be authorized by Council or designated or assigned to duty in or with such Division by the Director of Public Service.

165.02 DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS.

   The Division of Recreation under the direction of the Director of Public Service, shall have the following duties and responsibilities: supervision of all playgrounds, playfields, gymnasiums, swimming pools, youth canteens, or other indoor or outdoor recreational facilities owned or operated by the City.

165.03 SUPERVISOR OF RECREATION.

   There is hereby created in the unclassified service of the City, the position of Supervisor of the Division of Recreation. Under the supervision of the Director of Public Service, the Supervisor of Recreation shall be in charge of property and employees assigned to the Division. The Supervisor of Recreation shall be well qualified to perform the duties of the supervision of the Division, and shall perform such other duties and responsibilities as may from time to time be assigned by his or her superiors.
