5-1-6: APPLICATION OF CERTAIN STATE LAW PROVISIONS:
The common and statutory law with respect to: a) the village president, village trustees and every member of the police department being conservators of the peace 1 ; b) the duty of every citizen to assist the police in the execution of their duties 2 ; c) resisting an officer of the law 3 ; and d) impersonating an officer of the law 4 shall apply with the same force and effect within the corporate limits of the village as if set forth in full in this chapter.
