Sec. 8-162 Designated Truck Routes and Penalties.

   a.   The following roadways are the designated truck routes for Schererville, Indiana:

      1.   Cline Avenue north to Avenue 11; and

      2.   U.S. 41 north to Main St., east on Main St. to Kennedy Ave.

   b.   The only vehicles excluded from the provisions of Sec. 8-161 or Sec. 8-162 shall be municipally-owned vehicles or school buses owned or utilized by a school corporation. Also, any vehicle, which is making a local delivery to a business or residence located on a restricted street or thoroughfare, shall be exempt from the provisions of this ordinance as well as any vehicles utilized by any business located within the boundaries of Schererville, Indiana.

   c.   The minimum penalty for a violation of Sec. 8-161 or Sec. 8-162 shall be in the amount of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00), a maximum penalty two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00).
