20-11-6: FENCING AND FLYWAYS:
Beehives must have a flyway barrier located at least ten feet (10') in front of the entrance to the hive. The flyway barrier shall consist of a solid wall, fence or dense vegetation at least six feet (6') in height. The flyway barrier shall extend ten feet (10') beyond the hive(s) so that the bees are forced to fly up to an elevation of at least six feet (6') over the property line.
The apiary shall be enclosed on all sides by a fence, dense vegetation or a combination thereof at least five feet (5') in height. The entrance to the apiary shall have a latched gate which shall be closed at all times when the beekeeper is not present. (Ord. 2011-0-86, 12-5-2011)
