The city is authorized to enter into agreements or contracts to furnish fire protection outside the municipality or to enter into mutual aid agreements. The members of the fire department are authorized and directed to render firefighting service to communities, organizations, owner or occupants of premises outside the corporate limits of the city. Such service shall only be rendered subject to the terms of the agreements or contract entered into by the city. (Ord. 326 (part), 1984: prior code § 4-2-8)
