Pursuant to Section 3.05D.(1) of the City Charter, Ordinance 1986-68, passed April 7, 1986, provided for the establishment of the combined position of Director of Public Safety/Public Service. Ordinance 1991-205, passed December 16, 1991, repealed Ordinance 1986-68, as codified in Section 236.05.
The City enters into Agreements from time to time with the full-time employees of the Department of Public Service. These Agreements provide for compensation and other incidents of employment. The provisions of this chapter, therefore, apply only to those employees and those subjects not otherwise provided for in such Agreements. In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of this chapter and any of the provisions of such Agreements, the provisions of the Agreements shall control. Copies of the latest relevant legislation and Agreement may be obtained, at cost, from the Clerk of Council.
