Community Development Department
   EDITOR'S NOTE: Ordinance 93-283, passed December 6, 1993, authorized the adoption of regulations of the State of Ohio Comprehensive Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) for the administration, by the Community Development Department, of a CHIP program.
   Ordinance 95-19, passed February 6, 1995, authorized the adoption of regulations for the administration, by the Community Development Department, of the Energy Conservation/Weatherization Program.
   Ordinance 95-121, passed June 5, 1995, authorized the adoption of regulations of the First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program, funded through CHIP and administered by the Community Development Department. Ordinance 96-45, passed March 4, 1996, repealed Ordinance 95-121 and authorized the adoption of new regulations of the First-Time Homebuyer Assistance Program. Ordinance 2005-1, passed January 3, 2005, authorized adoption of regulations of the First-Time Homebuyer Assistant Program and repealed Ordinance 95-121.
   Copies of such ordinances and regulations, as amended, may be obtained, at cost, from the Clerk of Council.
   Ordinance 2004-170, passed November 15, 2004, adopted the CHIP Policy and Procedures Manual.

159.01 ESTABLISHMENT.
   Pursuant to Section 10.04(k) of the City Charter, there is hereby established a Community Development Department.
159.02 ENFORCEMENT OF HOUSING CODE.
   The Community Development Department is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the legally employed Building Inspector of the City for the purpose of enforcing the City Minimum Standards Housing Code.

159.03 REFERENCES TO COMMUNITY PLANNING AND RENEWAL DEPARTMENT.
   All references in these Codified Ordinances to Community Planning and Renewal Department shall be interpreted to mean the Community Development Department.
