§ 173.36 Consultant-Water Pollution Control
   There is hereby established in the Department of Public Utilities the position of Consultant-Water Pollution Control whose compensation shall be fixed by the appointing authority at not more than thirty-four thousand dollars ($34,000.00) per annum. The Director of Public Utilities is authorized to employ one (1) person for this position. The person shall serve under the direct jurisdiction of the Director as the chief of the Clean Water Task Force.

§ 173.55 Assistant Coordinator of Recreation with Joint Recreation Council
   Notwithstanding and in addition to the provisions of Section 173.56, the Commissioner of Recreation shall be reimbursed one thousand eight hundred dollars ($1,800.00) per annum for his or her duties as Assistant Coordinator of Recreation with the Recreation Council of the City and the Cleveland Board of Education.

§ 173.63 Additional Hourly Employees
   In all cases where it is necessary or desirable to employ a person by the hour in a classification not included in Sections 173.60 and 173.62 but for which classification an annual salary is provided in Sections 173.37 to 173.59, and as the same from time to time subsequently have been amended, the minimum and maximum hourly rate shall be determined by dividing both the minimum and maximum salary by the number of hours regularly constituting a work year for the concerned division or department determined as provided in Section 171.05.

§ 173.64 Unskilled Laborers
   Ordinary unskilled laborers in the employ of the City shall be paid such rates of compensation, not exceeding the maximum rates prevailing in private employment in the City for like services, as may be established by rule of the Mayor. The rules of the Mayor establishing rates of compensation under this section may be revoked, altered, and amended at any time. Such rules may classify the unskilled labor positions in the City employment according to their character and may fix for each class or grade thereof an appropriate rate, by hour, day, week or month, as the nature of the case may require.
§ 173.65 City Planning Commission
   (a)   Each member of the City Planning Commission, except the member of Council serving thereon, shall receive compensation of seven thousand eight hundred twenty dollars ($7,820.00) per annum, payable monthly.
   (b)   Beginning in year 2022, each member of the City Planning Commission for a new term, except the member of Council servicing thereon, shall receive compensation of eight thousand nine hundred sixty-three dollars ($8,963.00) per annum, payable monthly. The salary of the member designated by the Mayor as Chairperson shall receive additional compensation of five hundred and seventy-five dollars ($575.00) per annum.

§ 173.66 Civil Service Examinations; Lunches
   The Civil Service Commission may expend such funds as are reasonably necessary to provide food or beverages to persons who serve as panel members, raters or monitors during the City’s Civil Service examinations.
